The client was looking for a drought tolerant landscape that featured orange and purple flowering plants on this corner lot. A curving boulder wall with plants tucked between crevices and cascading over the edges replaced and old wood retaining wall. Blue-gray succulents pop against dark moss-covered boulders that frame the main entrance path, with accent lighting highlighting the planting and leading visitors to the front door after dark. Two madrone trees with beautiful red bark in the front of the house will grow into focal points of this design, adding to the natural feel of this landscape.
